What exactly do you mean by tomato sauce? Passata? Sieved tomatoes? Jarred sauce designed to be used with pasta?

I'm not - we don't have a product like that in the UK. Looks like passata will be just the thing, though!

You don’t have this there?!! What in tarnations. I did hear my very close friend say she used a jarred salsa once in a pinch!

Nope! Tinned tomatoes (chopped, cherry or whole plum), tomato puree (Italian style, not tomato paste), passata and jarred pasta sauces only! The salsa is a great idea thpugh, that is in the chips and dips section!

Passata is what most Americans living in the UK use for tomato sauce. It isn't exactly the same but it is as close as you can get in Europe, that is what I found.
